Privacy Policy

Solitairy: Category Solitaire ("Solitairy", "the Game", "we", "us", or "our") is a mobile word-card game available on iOS and Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information We Collect

Solitairy does not require account creation or sign-up. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide a display name for the daily challenge leaderboard.

a) Data stored on our server

  • Device ID — a randomly generated identifier created on first launch and stored on your device. It is not derived from your hardware, but it persists across app sessions to identify your installation for leaderboard and progress features. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app will generate a new ID.
  • Display name — an optional nickname you may set for the daily challenge leaderboard.
  • Daily challenge results — your move count and completion time for daily puzzles.
  • Game progress — your current level and coin balance.
  • RevenueCat customer ID — an anonymous identifier assigned by RevenueCat, linked to your App Store or Google Play account. This allows us to verify purchases and restore them across reinstalls.
  • Coin transaction history — records of coin credits and debits (e.g., purchases, ad rewards).

b) Data stored on your device

Game settings (sound, vibration preferences), saved game state, and your display name are stored locally on your device using standard platform storage (SharedPreferences / UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device unless described above.

2. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may collect information independently:

a) Google AdMob

We display ads through Google AdMob, including rewarded ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers, IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. Google may use this information to show personalised ads based on your activity across apps and websites. You can manage your ad preferences in your device settings or visit Google Ad Settings. b) RevenueCat

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts and associates them with an anonymous customer ID. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

c) PostHog

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how players interact with the Game. PostHog may collect anonymous usage events and device metadata. See PostHog's Privacy Policy.

d) Sentry

We use Sentry for crash and error reporting to improve app stability. Sentry may collect device type, OS version, and stack traces when errors occur. See Sentry's Privacy Policy.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the daily challenge leaderboard.
  • To save and sync your game progress and coin balance.
  • To process in-app purchases and ad rewards.
  • To serve advertisements.
  • To improve the Game through analytics and error tracking.

4. Data Storage and Security

Our server is hosted on a VPS provided by Hetzner, located in Finland (EU). We use PostgreSQL to store the data described in Section 1a. We take reasonable measures to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your game data for as long as the Game is operational. If you wish to have your data deleted, please contact us (see below) and we will remove your records within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

Solitairy is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

7. Your Choices

  • You may choose not to set a display name — your daily challenge scores will still be recorded under your anonymous device ID.
  • You can manage ad personalisation in your device settings or through Google Ad Settings.
  • You may request deletion of your data by emailing us.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
